6 Month Update

Jordyn is 6 months old and I can't handle it! It feels like she's been a part of our family forever and yet 6 months sounds so old! I still see her as my tiny girl that I just brought home from the hopital but believe me, she is anything but tiny! She had her 6 month check up today and she is off the charts yet again. She weighs 21 lbs 8 oz and is 27 inches long! Her weight is greater than 97% and her height is 90%. According to the doctor she still isn't too heavy but if she doesn't slow down soon I might go crazy! She is going through clothes faster than you could believe and is already wearing 12 and 18 mos.

Jordyn has definitely been changing so much this past month. She now can sit up all by herself. It's always been her favorite position when being held and now she doesn't need us to help her. She was a little tipsy at first but she's been doing it for a few weeks and now she can sit up for quite a few minutes without falling over, and when she finally does fall she doesn't even care. Not only does she sit but she is getting so mobile. She can roll both ways and yesterday rolled from one side of the living room to the other in just a few minutes. She even crawls a tiny bit if she sees a toy she wants. She loves to scooch under the ottoman until just her head is showing.

She has now graduated to a big girl carseat. While many children stay in the small carry-on-your-arm carseat for quite a while, Jordyn passed the weight limit so we had to buy a new one. She loves it though and had such a big smile the first time we put her in it because she can sit up straighter in it.

In other news Jordyn has been sick. What I thought was just symptoms of teething turned out to be an ear infection followed by a really bad cold. She couldn't even drink her bottle and choked and gagged during feedings. She it feeling a lot better now but she has four bottom teeth that look like they could come through any day. She's a little miserable and biting every thing in sight but it's exciting that she will have teeth soon. Lastly, Jordyn now sleeps on her belly and her side! It's very cute the way she crosses her legs over eachother and rests her head on her arm. She almost never wants to sleep on her back anymore. No matter what way we put her in bed, unless she's to exhausted to move she ends up on her belly!

Well, I know this has been a long update but so much has happened we didn't want to leave anything out. We hope you enjoy all the pictures and hope we see a lot of you over spring break!

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy belated Valentines Day to everyone! I thought I would post a couple cute pics from our day. Jordyn and I went and suprised Wayne at work with candy, balloons and a card. I had tied the balloons to Jordyn's wrist and she was absolutely loving that. Then Wayne came home with roses for me. We had a fun day and for the first time, I had TWO valentines!

Our Screeching Girl

Jordyn loves to babble and make noises like she's talking but just recently she has learned a new sound that she loves to make. It's very cute although it can give you a headache if you listen to it to long. Thankfully it doesn't bother me! Hope you enjoy it.
